Welcome to the HealthMax Integrated Medicine Web Site. This area of our site provides a buffet of health and wellness information and resources specifically selected by members of our HealthMax Medical Advisory Board. Health and wellness topics are arranged in several sections for your personal education and are filled with what we feel is the best information available on the internet today. Much of the information is written by our professional staff and some of the information is derived from other groups and individuals. Credit is given to the respective authors of any section or article. We understand that maximum health is ultimately in the hands of each of us. We believe that accurate and credible information is helpful in the quest for ultimate health and wellness.

HEALTHMAX ADVANTAGE^TM
HealthMax is much more than an Integrated Medicine web site. The HealthMax Advantage lies in the licensed medical professionals who are involved with HealthMax. With a new website created every 10 seconds, health care websites will proliferate the internet quickly. The substance behind those is usually minimal. At HealthMax, we write clinically applicable programs and educational materials to help patients make informed decisions about their health care. Many of the professionals are clinical professionals who treat patients daily. Contrast this with other sites that mearly copy canned information and provide product catelogs. Our programs, products and services are hand selected and customized by our professional authors. We strive to separate the wheat from the chaff and present this to you in a user friendly format.

INTEGRATED CARE
HealthMax unites the traditional and alternative medical fields to provide a "complimentary" or "integrated" medical wellness site. We feel that the full spectrum of medical information and treatments should be presented in an ethically unbiased manner. We believe that you should ultimately have the choice of a variety of health care options that fits your needs and desires. Across the country more and more people are turning to "natural" methods of maintaining and improving their health and preventing illness. We concur that there are many treatment options which are unfairly criticized by the traditional medical establishment solely based on a perceived lack of "scientific evidence." Much of the history of medicine is founded on direct observation of particular events. HealthMax is dedicated to ongoing research into various alternative forms of treatment. Traditional scientific research has always been very expensive to produce. As the NIH and other agencies promote the research efforts, we feel more and more of the alternative recommendations will prove themselves worthy.

RESEARCH
HealthMax is designing multi-state and multi-clinic research efforts to evaluate several alternative/complimentary/integrated approaches to health and wellness. These results will be published online on a regular basis and will also be submitted to the traditional medical peer-reviewed journals. It is our desire to promote integrated or complimentary alternative medical information which is both ethical and efficacious in our opinion. As exemplified by our multi-disciplinary medical advisory board, times are changing, and the ego of the traditional medical industry is beginning to fade. Let us embrace those health care options which are considered the best for a particular person with individual needs.

SEMINARS
It is our desire to educate patients and health care providers, both traditional and alternative, in the contemporary Integrated Medicine approach to healing. We have a national seminar series titled; HealthMax - A Prescription For 21st Century Health Care, that provides educational lectures on various health and wellness topics. Feel free to check out our calendar for upcoming seminars. Some seminars are offered online and others are given live in cities across the U.S. and Canada. We are currently completing requirements for continuing medical educational credits for the courses across all medical disciplines. The seminars are usually presented in two formats, one designed for patients and one for professionals.

RECOMMENDATIONS
When appropriate, various health care items will be highlighted to help you become more aware of the resources available from several different companies. The items selected are also hand picked by members of the medical advisory board and are felt to be the "best of the best" in our opinion.
